WEA-Riverside is the regional council comprised of fifteen local education associations representing over 4,600 professional and classified educators working in Southwest Washington. Collectively we represent K-12 certificated educators, higher education faculty and staff, educational support professionals, retired educators and college students preparing to become teachers.

Education is a social process.  Education is growth.  Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.  - John Dewey

  • Welcoming two new UniServ Directors!

We are excited to announce the addition of two new staff members to our office, following the retirements of Lisa Raine and Lynn Davidson this spring. Jedd Rivera, who joined us in July from the Lower Columbia UniServ Council, and Annabel Torres, who joined in November from the Seattle Education Association, bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm. We are confident that they will be great additions to our team, and we look forward to the valuable contributions they will make as we work together in the months and years ahead. In addition, Candy Herrera is continuing her role as Uniserv Director and recently celebrated her seventh year at WEA-Riverside!

Please join us in warmly welcoming Jedd and Annabel as they begin their work with WEA-Riverside—we're thrilled to have them on board!
